Tame Impala Share Video for New Song “Loser”: Watch

Tame Impala came back in July with “End of the Summer,” and Kevin Parker has now shared another new song. “Loser” comes with a music video directed by Sam Kristofski and starring Joe Keery, the Stranger Things and Pavements actor who records his own music as Djo. Watch the video below.

In the clip, a woman storms off from Keery and peels away in a car as he tries, and fails, to convince her to stay. The dejected actor stumbles over to a marketplace to buy a drink, shoplift a lighter, and strike out with a lottery ticket. After sitting on the stoop for hours, he locks eyes with a different woman in the passenger seat of a sedan and picks up her discarded cigarette butt. In the song’s final moments, Keery is momentarily replaced by Kevin Parker—who, in the same haircut and outfit, sighs and mutters a hopeless “fuck”—before it flashes back to the actor.
