This 5.3-liter V12 and BorgWarner three-speed automatic transmission were removed from a 1975 Jaguar XJ-S that was repowered with a Chevrolet big block in the early 1990s. The seller has had this engine and transmission for three decades, and they are now offered at no reserve in Maryville, Tennessee.
The Jaguar V12 was produced in various forms from 1971 through 1997. This pre-HE example was rated at approximately 285 horsepower and 399 lb-ft of torque when new. According to the seller, the donor car showed 26k miles when the engine and gearbox were removed.

Equipment includes a Bosch/Lucas OPUS fuel injection system. Close-up photos of the engine’s accessories and exterior condition are included in the gallery.

Engine stamping 8S12813 is shown above.

A three-speed BorgWarner automatic transmission is bolted to the engine.
