This 1970 Rokon Trail-Breaker was acquired by the current owner in 2020, reportedly in Idaho from the estate of the original owner, Dr. Forrest Bird, inventor of the modern medical ventilator. The bike is finished in yellow and powered by a 134cc two-stroke single paired with a three-speed transmission. Equipment includes two-wheel drive, a sprung solo saddle, a side stand, a hand shifter, a mechanical disc brake, both kick and recoil starters, front and rear cargo racks, and 15″ hollow aluminum wheels which can be used for storage or flotation. This Trail-Breaker is offered for off-road use only in Oregon with historical registration information and a bill of sale.
The bike is finished in yellow with black graphics and equipment includes a sprung Aquila solo saddle, a rear cargo platform, a front cargo rack, and a side stand.
Hollow 15″ aluminum wheels are mounted with Goodyear tires and provide 4.5 gallons of additional storage capacity each for fuel or water. Braking is handled by a mechanical disc brake attached to the front miter box.
The chrome handlebar carries black grips, an ignition switch, a twist-grip throttle, a bright front brake lever, and black control cables. The bike did not come with an odometer or other instrumentation, therefore true mileage is unknown.
The 134cc two-stroke single is equipped with a partially-shrouded cylinder head, kick and recoil starters, and a bright exhaust system. In preparation for sale the carburetor was overhauled and the spark plug, fuel filter, and fuel lines were replaced. Photos showing the air cleaner installed can be viewed in the gallery.
Power is routed to both wheels through a mechanical clutch, a hand-shifted Albion three-speed transmission, miter boxes, and drive chains at both ends.
Historical registration documentation is included in the sale.
The bike does not have a title or registration. It is being sold on a bill of sale only.
